The Dochertys says:We have just returned from our 5th visit to this fab hotel. We stayed for 2 nights in a family room on a Friday and Sat night. As usual the rooms were very clean and very comfortable. ALL staff in this hotel are helpful, friendly and nothing is ever too much trouble. Our TV would not switch on and within 15 minutes of letting them know, it was fixed- im not sure some of the 6* hotels in Dubai could beat that time! We enjoy the karaoke and stayed for this both nights which is always a good laugh where all guests are included and made to feel 100% welcome. Our children had their birthdays whilst we were there, and the owner Mandy got them balloons, presents and even a little cake for them to blow out the candles! What a thoughtful and kind gesture that me and my husband were just so overwhelmed by. Children are made to feel welcome both in the evening, and catered for at breakfast time by the wonderful team of friendly,hard working and helpful waitresses. The Breakfasts are delicious and I was full for the rest of the day! Nicest Hotel breakfast I have ever had that just seems to get better every time we visit! We are already planning to return again next year, we would never stay anywhere else in Blackpool. This is the number one place to stay there, the awards behind reception prove this! Thanks again for a brilliant weekend.

Well...thanks Colin but if the guest has that perception of us then its clear we failed in the communication department. All I would add is that we do try and be friendly but sometimes its a long day and we like to chill out ourselves when we have capable staff looking after front of house. I really dont think Mrs Dale was expecting a personal butler and confidante for 21 a night.

We DO publish all constructive criticism...

Mr and Mrs Dale...I'm really pleased you found the hotel to be clean and in a good location.

I'm very disappointed to read that you think we didnt talk to you and I am a bit puzzled to be honest. BUT, I dont want to come across as though I am defending this, really, as it was YOUR perception that we didn't make an effort to talk to you....so it's obvious we failed.

I have to be REALLY honest here and mention that I can't even remember you...so you must be right.
Most of our guests will vouch that we are friendly and try and go the extra mile...I'm truly sorry that we didn't seem to do this with you.
Shame about New Year....it's a brill party and we only have one room left.
Have a great time when you next visit Blackpool even if you don't choose us to stay with.
