Injunction Served
The offices of PIG FM were in disarray this morning after being served an injuntion against displaying any material which could be deemed as derogatory, dishonest or libelous about Cliff The Candle. Rumours were flying about yesterday (Wed 2nd Feb 2005) that the writ was about to be served and action was taken immediately. A pokesman for PIG FM said, "We honestly don't know what it's all about - it seems as though somebody is "spitting his dummy out" for no apparant reason".
We understand the page will remain blank until such time as legalalities can be sorted out.
We asked Cliff The Candle for a comment but apparantly his phone is unable to make contact with another if it automatically witholds it's number. All phones at offices of PIG FM do not accept calls from witheld numbers so it seems like this stalemate could carry on for some time.
Aidan breaks free from "Me and My Boy"
Teenagers across the nation were in torment as Aidan announced he is leaving pop bestsellers
"Me and My Boy". In a statement, thought to be a well timed publicity coup for pop idol, Aidan, he announced simply that he wishes to resign from the band and concentrate on his solo career.
PIG FM have been unable to verify these accusations but we have been able to obtain what appears to be the handwritten note from Aidan to his singing partner Cliff, that he wishes to terminate the band.
Today Cliff the Candle has been seen leaving the offices of Max Clifford, international PR guru, and a statement is expected shortly. Watch this space for developments throughout the day.
Later this morning Aidan released this statement: "He (Cliff) also asked me to reform "Me and My Boy". I said NO but maybe we could have a "Best Of" album in the future (as he will probably fall on hard times!)".
Max Clifford appeared on the steps of his Soho offices at 1pm with this statement "I can confirm that I am in conference with Cliff the Candle regarding accusations of a split. We can categorically deny any rumour and false accusations that Me and My Boy are to split. The tour will go ahead as planned - there is a new album in the pipeline. Things are really looking great for the nations top duo".
When quizzed further and told that we hold Aidans resignation note Mr Clifford looked agitated and muttered some inaudible expletive and that he would need to discuss things further with his client.
